Nitro Gear & Axle strives to develop new applications & ratios, as well as improve upon existing applications.  The Chrysler 8.25” rear axle has been widely used for several decades in numerous applications from old Mopar passenger cars, to Jeep XJ, and many more.  In recent times it has become apparent that many competitors’ aftermarket gears are not of suitable quality or fitment for some of the newer applications.  The 8.25” rear is commonly used in late model SUV’s like the Jeep Liberty, Dodge Nitro, & Jeep Grand Cherokee WK.  Nitro is now offering premium quality Ring & Pinions in 3.73, 4.10, 4.56 and 4.88.  The 3.73 4.10 & 4.56 are double drilled to accommodate the SAE bolts on older models, as well as metric ring gear bolts used on late model applications. It should also be noted that Nitro is the first to offer an aftermarket 3.73 Ring & Pinion this application.  The high cost of OEM Ring & Pinions, make the new Nitro premium ring & pinion an excellent choice.  Computer controlled machining, heat treating and lapping processes ensure a strong, quieter running and installer-friendly Ring & Pinion.
