Rebuildable Upper Control Arms for 2010 Chevy Tahoe
The 2007 Tahoe control arm from JBA replaces factory sealed suspension components with a fully serviceable design. Each preassembled control arm ships with EZ Lube Bushings featuring 8 individual grease ports and pressure relief valves, eliminating the wear-induced slop common in sealed bushings. Max 90 Ball Joints are CNC-machined from 4140 chromoly steel and deliver 90-degree articulation with field-replaceable wear surfaces. You grease the bushings on your schedule, rebuild the ball joints when needed, and avoid replacement cycles entirely.
JBA's arms fit 2007-2013 GMT900 platform vehicles, including the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and Cadillac Escalade. The front left upper and front right upper control arms install as direct replacements with no modifications. Each arm is backed by a lifetime structural warranty covering the forged steel body and welded joints against failure. Bushings and ball joints are wear items rebuildable with JBA service kits.
EZ Lube Bushings Stop Suspension Wear
Factory-sealed bushings dry out, crack, and introduce slop into your front control geometry. JBA's EZ Lube Bushings use 8 grease ports with pressure relief valves to maintain a lubricant barrier between the sleeve and the urethane liner. You inject grease until you see relief valve discharge, confirming full saturation. Bushings stay pliable, the body stays tight to the frame, and wheel alignment holds stable over time.
Each bushing is rebuildable. When urethane wears after years of trail use, you press out the old liner, install a new one from a JBA service kit, and re-grease. No arm replacement required. This design has supported jungle fleet operations in Central America, where sealed arms control components failed in under 18 months.
Max 90 Ball Joints Deliver Articulation
The Max 90 Ball Joint provides 90-degree total articulation through a CNC-machined 4140 chromoly steel housing. The stud rotates on a hardened bearing race, not a pressed-in polymer cup. You get predictable steering response at full droop and full compression without bind. When the bearing surface wears, you disassemble the joint, replace the race and stud from a service kit, and torque it back together.
Sealed ball joints from other suppliers fail without warning because you can't inspect internal wear. JBA's rebuildable joints let you check bearing play during routine maintenance and replace wear surfaces before failure. This matters on remote trails where a separated ball joint ends your trip.
Lifetime Structural Warranty Covers the Frame
JBA backs every upper control arm with a lifetime structural warranty covering the forged steel arm body and all welded joints. If the frame cracks or a weld fails, JBA replaces the arm. Bushings, ball joints, and grease fittings are wear items excluded from structural coverage but fully rebuildable with service kits available directly from JBA.
The warranty reflects 20+ years of engineering refinement. JBA built the first aftermarket upper control arm for the Jeep Liberty in 2003 and has iterated through four generations of design improvements. The current Gen 4.5 arms incorporate field feedback from thousands of deployed units worldwide.
Direct Fit for 2007-2013 GMT900 Platform
These arms control the front suspension on 2007-2013 Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, Chevrolet Suburban, and Cadillac Escalade models. They install using factory mounting points with no drilling or frame modification. Torque specs and alignment procedures follow OEM service manual standards.
JBA does not manufacture lower control arms or complete suspension kits. We engineer upper control arms exclusively, with full engineering depth focused on bushing serviceability and ball joint rebuildability. If you run a lifted Tahoe or tow heavy loads, serviceable upper control arms eliminate the replacement interval common with sealed designs.
What Happens When Upper Control Arms Go Bad
Worn upper control arms introduce play between the wheel hub and the frame. You'll notice clunking over bumps, wandering steering, and accelerated tire wear as the wheel moves out of alignment specs. Sealed ball joints and bushings wear internally without visible warning until failure occurs. JBA's rebuildable design lets you inspect bearing surfaces and bushing condition during oil changes, catching wear before it affects handling.
