What is cool about this build:
I picked this up during the covid price surge. The previous owner in Indiana needed it gone because of his HOA. It was bone stock had some cab and frame rot that needed adressed promptly. I wound up paying a good price for its condition. Two weeks after my wife and I took it to an offroad park and we were very happy with how capable it was with just some decent tires. Now after 4 years of ownership, a handful of suspension configurations, a road trip to CO, and at 250k miles I think its nearing completion. The GX/Toyota community would have steered anyone away from purchasing it but it does bring me a big sense of accomplishment to be able to save it from a junkyard, and I learned some valuable skills along the way.
