JBA Upper Control Arms are assembled and ready to bolt into your vehicle!

Made of heavy-duty tubing, red powder coat finish, with replaceable ball joints, 4 grease ports for JBA EZ lube bushings, and ball joints.

 

Why synthetic elastomer bushings?

Synthetic Elastomer is a long-chained polymer with many urethane constituents. Over the years the formulation has evolved to yield stronger, yet softer compounds ideal for on and off-road applications. As the compound advanced to yield higher tensile strength, elasticity, and dynamic load capacity, JBA uses the bushing to help aid and tune suspension geometry and they will not squeak like polyurethane bushings.

 

The Ball Joint Range of Motion:

Up travel is 40 degrees off the centerline of the ball joint.

Down travel is 50 degrees off centerline.

The full range of motion is 90 degrees.

Cerakote clear to protect the ball joint.

Maintenance
Every 3,000-5,000 miles: (at the interval of every oil change) Grease the ball joint with 3-4 pumps of lithium complex grease fortified with moly (molybdenum disulfide), grease the A-arm bushings with 1-3 pumps

What Wheel & Tire Combo works with JBA-7.0.HC.EZ?

We moved the guest out more on the JBA UCAs to get more strut clearance and down travel, with doing that there is interference with oversize tires on factory wheels.

Tire sizes that work well with the JBA-7.0.HC.EZ UCAs on factory wheels, Wheel offset chart at bottom of this page.

  • 265/75R16 tire 31.6" x 10.4" on factory wheels
  • 275/70R17 tire 32.2" x 10.8" on factory wheels
  • 255/75R17 tires 32.1" x 10" on factory wheels
  • 275/65R18 tires 32.1" x 10.8" on factory wheels
  • 245/75R17 tires 31.5" x 9.6" on factory wheels
  • Any tire that is 32.2" diameter and smaller there is no fitment problem.

Note: The critical dimensions are tire diameter, any tire over 32.5", the width of the tire, width of wheel & wheel backspace or offset.  This is only tire to a-arm clearance, you may still need to do body mount chop and clearance the wheel wells and front bumper.

Oversize tires

BFG K02s at 33 x 12.5" wide tire:

12.5" wide tire, if the wheel is 7" wide, you need a 3.25" backspace or smaller to clear the JBA ucas.

12.5" wide tire, if the wheel is 7.5" wide, you need a 3.50" backspace or smaller to clear the JBA ucas.

12.5" wide tire, if the wheel is 8" wide, you need a 3.75" backspace or smaller to clear the JBA ucas.

12.5" wide tire, if the wheel is 8.5" wide, you need a 4.00" backspace or smaller to clear the JBA ucas.

12.5" wide tire, if the wheel is 9" wide, you need a 4.25" backspace or smaller to clear the JBA ucas.

12.5" wide tire, the above will have .225” tire clearance to the JBA arms at full lock of the steering wheel, with that wheel and tire setup. If you need a smaller backspace a wheel spacer is needed, most common spacer is 1.25" thick. This is only tire to a-arm clearance, you may still need to do body mount chop and clearance the wheel wells and front bumper.

 

BFG K02s at 315/70 R17 (34.4" x 12.4") 12.4" wide tire:

12.4" wide tire, if the wheel is 7" wide, you need a 3.50" backspace or smaller to clear the JBA ucas.
